Hotel Curtains & Window Treatments for the Hospitality Sector

We design, supply and install made-to-measure hotel curtains for hospitality properties across the UK and internationally. From guest rooms and suites to conference facilities, restaurants and hotel lobbies, every curtain is manufactured to exact specification and installed by our own professional team, from concept to completion.

Hotel Curtains

Hotel curtains are a specialist contract product. They need to perform reliably under daily commercial use, meet strict fire safety requirements, and maintain a consistent, high-quality appearance across dozens or hundreds of rooms. Off-the-shelf solutions cannot deliver this. Every project we undertake is designed, manufactured and installed as a bespoke, turnkey service, with a dedicated Project Manager on every job.

With over 30 years of experience in commercial interiors and more than 1,000 hotel, hospitality and specialist projects completed worldwide, we understand exactly what the hospitality sector demands.

Fire Safety and Compliance

Hotel and hospitality venues in the UK must comply with fire safety legislation. Curtain fabrics and linings used in commercial premises need to meet the relevant performance standards for the sector.

Every fabric we specify for hotel projects is selected to meet the required commercial performance and flame-retardant standards for the hospitality environment. Where compliance documentation is required for audits or inspections, this can be provided as part of the project process.
Fire safety is built into every specification from the outset. It is never an afterthought.

Acoustic and Thermal Performance

In a hospitality environment, curtains do far more than control light. The right specification can genuinely improve guest comfort and reduce operational costs.

Design & aesthetics

Pinch pleat curtains

Pinch pleat, sometimes known as French pleat, is a classic choice for hotel bedrooms and suites. Available in double and triple pleat, the heading creates structured, tailored folds with an assured, established quality to them. Well suited to traditional and luxury hotel interiors, pinch pleat remains one of the most widely specified headings in the hospitality sector.

Key points:

Timeless, sophisticated finish

Available in double and triple pleat

Suited to both traditional and contemporary hotel interiors

Wide range of fabrics and linings available

Wave curtains

Wave curtains, also known as ripplefold, deliver a clean, contemporary finish increasingly favoured in modern hotel design. Soft, continuous folds hang from a specially designed track, creating an architectural, understated look that works equally well in premium hotel rooms, suites, and public areas. The smooth glide mechanism also makes them a practical choice for motorised operation.

Key points:

Sleek, modern aesthetic

Consistent folds and smooth, quiet operation

Suited to contemporary and boutique hotel properties

Compatible with motorised track systems

Eyelet curtains

Eyelet curtains offer a relaxed but refined finish, with metal rings creating clean, uniform folds. A popular choice in boutique hotels, lifestyle properties, and hotel restaurants, they provide a contemporary look with practical durability.

Key points:

Clean, uniform folds

Wide fabric selection

Contemporary finish suited to boutique and lifestyle hotel properties

Durable and easy to maintain in high-use environments

Pencil pleat curtains

Pencil pleat curtains provide a tightly gathered, structured heading that suits a broad range of hotel interior styles. That adaptability makes them a practical choice for properties that need consistency of finish across a large number of rooms.

Key points:

Tightly gathered, structured finish

Suited to a wide range of hotel interior styles

Adaptable to varied window sizes and configurations

Available in an extensive range of commercial-grade fabrics

Smart & automated

Motorised hotel curtains

Silent, discreet motors let guests control curtains at the touch of a button, via remote control, bedside panel, or smartphone app — a routine feature in premium hotel rooms, suites, and conference facilities. For conference rooms and AV environments, automated scheduling and full building system integration are available. We supply and install motorised curtain systems from Silent Gliss and Somfy, with smart building integration for Lutron and Control4.

Key points:

Silent motor operation with no disruption to guests

Remote control, wall panel, and smartphone app operation

Automated scheduling for consistent light management

AV integration for conference and meeting rooms

Compatible with Lutron and Control4 building management systems

Available in battery-powered or hardwired configurations

Any curtain heading style can be motorised

Performance & purpose

Blackout curtains

For hotel guest rooms, proper blackout performance means eliminating light ingress entirely - whatever the time of day or external conditions. A correctly specified blackout curtain, installed with the right track and return, gives guests full control over their sleep environment. Every curtain is made to measure, with durable, commercial-grade blackout fabrics available across a wide range of outer fabric choices.

Key points:

Complete light elimination

Durable, commercial-grade blackout fabrics

Available with a wide range of outer fabric choices

Made to measure for exact window dimensions

Can be layered with sheers for flexible light control throughout the day

Sheers

A sheer panel closest to the window provides daytime privacy while maintaining natural light. Paired with a blackout outer curtain, guests can move between full privacy, soft natural light, and complete darkness — giving rooms the polished, layered look of a well-appointed hotel.

Key points:

Available in a wide range of fabrics and finishes

Designed to layer with blackout outer curtains

Provides both privacy and natural light flexibility

Widely specified in premium and boutique hotel properties

Flame-retardant curtains

All fabrics supplied for hotel and hospitality environments are specified to meet relevant commercial flame-retardant standards. For UK hospitality premises, this is a legal requirement, and our fabric specifications are chosen accordingly across every heading style and lining choice.

Key points:

Fabrics specified to meet relevant commercial fire safety standards

Available across all heading styles: wave, pinch pleat, pencil pleat, eyelet

Compliance documentation available as part of the project process

Fire-retardant contract blinds

Where noise control is a priority — hotel restaurants, conference rooms, urban properties on busy streets, open-plan spaces — acoustic curtains make a meaningful difference. Dense, heavyweight fabrics and specialist linings absorb sound and reduce echo, improving both guest comfort and the acoustic quality of the space.

Key points:

Dense, heavyweight fabrics for effective sound absorption

Reduces external noise and minimises echo within the room

Available across all commercial heading styles

Suited to hotel restaurants, conference rooms, and urban properties

Thermal curtains

Across a full room count, thermally lined curtains can have a measurable effect on heating and cooling costs. By retaining warmth in winter and reducing solar heat gain in summer, they ease the demand on HVAC systems — a practical, compounding benefit for larger properties.

Key points:

Thermally lined construction for improved insulation

Retains warmth in winter, reduces heat build-up in summer

Supports energy efficiency across the property

Available in combination with blackout or acoustic linings

FAQs

What type of curtains are used in hotels?

Hotel curtains are contract-grade, made-to-measure products — different in specification and construction from anything available through residential retail. They are typically manufactured with blackout linings, flame-retardant fabrics, and commercial-grade headings, then fitted on professional track or pole systems. Premium hotel rooms frequently use a layered approach, combining sheers with a heavier outer blackout curtain.
